DUTCH JEWELLERY: MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

Obviously, you want your Zeeuwse Knopen and Dutch Jewellery to remain as beautiful as possible. Some advice to have your ‘Zeeuwse knopen’ remain nice and shiny:

  • When you’re going to exercise, clean or do heavy work, or go to sleep or shower, please take off your jewellery.
  • If you don’t wear the jewellery, please store the item or items with care. Wrap the jewellery in soft cloth or put the items in a box so they don’t touch other jewellery. That may cause unnecessary scratches and damage.
  • Silver and bronze jewellery remains beautiful by brushing occasionally gently with a soft toothbrush.
    Do not use chemicals or a rough fabrics to clean your Dutch jewellery.
  • Avoid sulfur-containing liquids and chlorine. It makes silver turn black.
